2025
Some info to highlight,

KARAOKE Wednesday Nights at South Press Coffee. Our member Ellen is available to meet at South press coffee for their karaoke night which is every Wednesday.

GAME NIGHT We follow game nights of the last Friday of each month. Held at Metropolitan Community Church Knoxville.  See MCC Calendar for dates.

FIREPIT NIGHT Our firepit evening are held by 
​Beau they occur in the spring and fall each year.

HIKES 

​LSG has an annual wildflower hike in April. It's a moderate hike and includes enjoying lunch by a waterfall. 

February Hike with the Sevier LGBTQ+ Neighbors Groups Feb 23,2025 Meet at Sugarland Visitor Center at 1pm. Hike is under 2 miles. 

APRIL We have our annual Wildflower Hike. 

BIWEEKLY HIKES Contact us about small group hikes. Some of us hike weekly. 

​BIKES 

LSG has an annual bike ride down the Virginia Creeper Trail in October this is a long ride.
You may start out as strangers at the top, but you will be fast friends by the time you reach the bottom.  Donna hosts this event. Please email her for more info. 

​DINNERS POTLUCKS CAMPFIRES
​
Depending on the season you may find us trying a new restaurant or planning a potluck or getting together around a campfire.  We love to talk and catch up on everyone's lives.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

​We frequently attend other community events to show support. We follow the Knox Pride calendar in efforts to show Unity. We have sponsored the Knox Pride Picnic in the past. If I don't have a date this list, click on the highlighted wording to go to their website. 

PRIDE FESTIVALS
Let's meet at an Festival or Event 2025:

JUNE
 SoKno Pride  June 21 2025 in South Knoxville on Sevier Ave this year. The event has become an annual event and is Knoxville's 2nd Pride Festival. It is June each year. 

West Knox Pride June 28 Hey Bear Cafe Knoxville TN This is an annual pride picnic with a small vendor fair. 

SWEETWATER TN Sweetwater Pride Festival is in Sweetwater TN. It is typically in the month of June. This is 45 minutes from Knoxville. Down I-75 West.  We support smaller festivals by attending them and helping share information. ​

JULY OR AUGUST

Blount Pride Is typically is the late summer in Maryville TN. Maryville is under 30 minutes from Knoxville.

SEPTEMBER
SEVIERVILLE TN Equality Fest with Sevier LGBTQ+ Neighbors. September 20, 2025 Sevierville TN​

OCTOBER
ASHEVILLE NC Blue Ridge Pride is in Asheville NC it will be in September or October each year. We will carpool to this event. Our old leader Donna will meet us at Blue Ridge Pride. 

KNOXVILLE TN  Knoxville's PrideFest is typically 2 to 3 days each year. There will be a parade on a Friday and then the festival on a Saturday. As of February 2025, Knox Pride as not announced their event date. 

CHATTANOOGA TN Chattanooga Pride is in Chattanooga TN.  It is typically held in the fall in October. Near the celebration dated for National Coming out day which is October 11 each year. 

OTHER FESTIVALS

SEPTEMBER The Punk Rock Flea Market is hosted by our friendly Ashley, it will also be in the fall. Many of our members set up booths at this event.

Activism

We attend Women's,  BLM Marches, Rallies, Kiss Ins and other events of peaceful protest. ​​

​Recognized by the Mayor's office

LSG is a positive visible presence in Knox Co and East Tennessee. Many of us our activists. LSG has been recognized by the Mayor's office for our efforts in Knoxville TN.
