February 2025Message from your Leader
I've been leading the Lesbian Social Group of Knoxville TN since Dec 3, 2015. I joined this group in 1999. I've gained great friends and experiences here. I would not be the advocate that I am without beginning my journey in the Lesbian Social group. (This website and its content are created by me/ ~ Beau Knowles LGBT) 
Activities 2025Our firepit evenings are held by Beau, in the spring and fall.
Cookouts have been popular this summer. We enjoy Singo (Song Bingo at Twisted Mikes). Game night at Metropolitan Community Church of Knoxville. 4th Friday of the month. See the MCC calendar here. and Hikes, planned when members are available. We combine our hikes with other groups. Sometimes we hike with local pride organizations or North Carolina groups such as Asheville lgbtq women. |
Let's meet at a Festival or Event 2025SoKno Pride South Knoxville Pride
We enjoy SoKno Pride in South Knoxville on Sevier Ave each year. It will be june 21, 2025. The event has become an annual event and is Knoxville's 2nd Pride Festival. It is in June each year Blount Pride is in the fall in Maryville TN which is under 30 minutes from Knoxville. We support events in other areas. West Knox Pride Picnic is held in June each year. WeKnoNow organization is a social club in West Side of Knoxville. The areas include, Farragut, Cedar Bluff, Solway and Karns. The group plans events Blue Ridge Pride will be September 30th in Asheville NC. We will carpool to this event. Knoxville's PrideFest is in the month of October. Normally near National Coming out Day. It is broken down into 2 days. The Knoxville Pride Parade will be on a Friday. The festival will be on the following Saturday. Please email Beau for more information on any of these activities. |

FOLLIES GIRLS AT THE BIRD AND THE BOOK MARYVILLE TN
APRIL 12, 2025 I WANT MY "OG" MTV! is the next show coming up which will be a a pop-culture retrospective of song and dance, fun and games from The Follies Girls. The Follies Girls return to their OG format, a fun-filled variety gameshow featuring LOTS of group dances, solos and games with cheesy prizes! Join our Lsg member Chi Vixen and all the other ladies at their next big event.
I WANT MY "OG" MTV! is only a glimpse of the memories we have from the "golden age" of Music Television - you know, back when MTV actually showed music videos?! If you didn't know that, oh let us educate and entertain you!!?!? Come see what songs made the cut this time around, and we are specifically targeting the years from 1981 - 2011 which seriously leaves WAAAAAAAY too much out, but when we really look at the way the format went downhill after music discovery became their bread and butter, thanks to the first reality show "The Real World", these years covered most of our memories. From 120 Minutes to Yo MTV Raps, for a lot of us MTV provided an opportunity to find new music and some of us REALLY miss the old format. We KNOW we KNOW, we can always watch MTV Classic but it's NOT the same. So, see what we have in store for you and get ready to have some fun. THERE will be "DRESS YOUR VIBE" contest - so come as an 80s, 90s or Y2K fanatic, or represent your favorite genre like "Headbanger's Ball", "Total Request Live" or whatever vibe you most loved during these 20 years of music television entertainment.
